INDIE GAMES PLAY announces its next event that incorporates this year the conferences for European Indie Game Days
Indie Games Play brings together an exhibition of indie games open to the public and the press, meetings and conferences for professionals, as well as an award ceremony for the most creative and promising selected projects.
The 7th edition will be held in Montreuil, on Monday and Tuesday, 24 and 25 October 2016!
After a successful collaboration during the 4th European Indie Game Days, the Syndicat National du Jeu Vidéo wished to put an end to the EIGD in their original form, and therefore entrusted the agency Events For Games to organize the professional conferences dedicated to independent developers. This merger will create a unique event that will meet all the expectations of the European participants.
The program will feature figures from the European video game scene sharing their experience, conferences from experts in the indie scene, many networking opportunities, and an exhibition of more than 20 selected video games to compete for the Play Awards.
All information about the exhibitors, guests, conferences, awards, partners, and practical information will be updated regularly on the website of the event: www.indiegamesplay.fr
The PLAY AWARDS
Since the inception of the Play Awards, the public’s votes determine the three winners of the show and reward the creativity, the gameplay, and the best game of the show. In addition this year four other prizes will be given by a jury of industry professionals and reward projects from an international competition.
Indie Games Play had proved the effectiveness of this event as a springboard for the upcoming indie games in France. Previous award winners include: Fossil Echo, Shiness, Anarcute, Wondershot, Epistory Hacktag, Seasons after Fall, and Drifting Lands. Some of these games were subsequently selected to show at international partner events like, Indie Prize Amsterdam and Singapore in 2016.
